Meet Your Instructors, Luke & Tim

Luke Chaplain is a fourth-generation Queensland grazier and founder of SkyKelpie, combining practical stockmanship with drone technology to modernise livestock management. Through hands-on mustering and industry trials with MLA and the Queensland Government, he has helped pioneer aerial stockmanship as an efficient, welfare-focused approach. Tim McGrath brings over 25 years of stockhandling experience, from his upbringing in the Granite Belt to a long career with the Department of Agriculture. After training with Bud Williams and Jim Lindsay, he shifted to low-stress methods and now leads LSS schools across Australia, helping producers handle livestock more effectively and profitably.
